The perfect choice of one-stop service for diversification of architecture.
I would call it if it were toll-free, why not? But it would take more than a voice over the phone to convince me that it was God
1. Whats the best way to clean the headlights without buying the cleaning stuff from advanced auto parts?
Did you try vinegar and cold water?
2. Check engine light and Advance Auto Parts said it is saying "system to lean"; Get it diagnosed the DEALERSHIP?
A Lean mix can mean 2 thing one not enough air or fuel., Need to get a code scanner from your local auto parts store and see what code its pulling, then go from there.. Imo you have cover would the spark plugs and filter and did you do a intake cleaning? if not do that you just spray it into the Butterfly after the air tube..Changing the fuel filter is not a bad thing to do it will keep the fuel injector clean and running great. Once you have do not all the basic tune up maintenance and your still getting the same code then IMO your getting a bad injector and sould be looking for and miss fire code and it will tell you what cylinder. hope this helps...
3. Who is more reliable O'reiley Auto Parts or NAPA Auto Parts?
NAPA is more expensive, but you usually get good parts and the people know what they are doing. I've only been to O'Reilys once and it seemed alright. Auto Zone has super cheap parts, but be sure you know exactly what you need because most of the people who work there are not so bright all the time. My rule of thumb: If I know the part I need, I go to Auto Zone and get the part for a great deal. If I do not know the part I need or am very confused about something, I spend the extra money at Napa for the good service and smart employees
4. Do auto parts stores keep diesel stocked in the shop?
Mmmmm..... No, that's what a gas station is for
5. Can you buy spark plugs for a seadoo at a auto parts store?
Its best to run a good brand name plug in your PWC. I would suggest either NGK or Bosh spark plugs. Make sure you run the proper type plug according to your owners manual. If you do not have a owners manual most parts stores can look it up for you. Some other things to try is add some gas additive to it called Sea Foam. About an ounce or two per gallon of gas.
6. where can i find cheap used auto parts?
get 1 of those cheap advertisers that are in the foodstores, and look in back, they have the japanese motors and transmissions
7. Should it not work if you use a distributor part from a auto parts store instead od one from the manufacturer?
My money's on wires or spark plugs. I would tell you about the toyota shop guy but it looks like you've already gotten your answer there.
8. Are the auto parts given by repair shop better than parts in local parts shops?
Sorry to hedge, but it depends. Most shops offer some warranty on their work, so they tend to favor mid-range parts and up. They do not want an unhappy customer and they eat the labor costs on re-works. Also they do not like to do "tests", a supplier says hey we have a new alternator supplier for your Ford repairs, they may so no, we will stick with the current brand, has worked well for 10 years. And over the last 10 years the pricing has been very competitive for auto parts, so to lower price, they have lowered quality and a lot of parts are coming from overseas and the key focus is low price. Your local auto parts store may have three options, cheap, mid, and brand name OEM grade. I would just ask about the price, then if too high try to negotiate it down.
9. I work for RGIS and will be going to napa auto parts tomorrow for an inventory?
As you may know. The length of hours you work at a store depends on the number of auditors show up. As a former RGIS auditor, I remembered I worked at a Napa auto parts that took like 14 hours but that is because we were short of people and at certain times of the day, people left because they said they had to pick up their children. I worked at RGIS for like 4 years during college. In the beginning it was ok because it paid the bills but later on it kinda became a drag especially during the january months and times when ppl wont show up to stores. If you hate the job so much then quit. When I first got the job, I thought it would be good because they paid more than minimum wage but after a while I didnt like it.
