There are adapter plugs that plug right into the tail light harness of your vehicle. You just unplug the harness and place the adapter between the two plugs. They are about $30 or so and can be found at Wal mart, advance auto parts, autozone, etc. The U haul place also has them, but they charge quite a bit more :-)

There are some auto shops in Arlington on Cooper that deal with racing cars, south of UTA, south of Division. i would suggest you call some of the shop owners in Arlington and ask them. if there is anything up, they would know.
