Nope sorry. This would be negligence on the customers behalf. The old rule of thumb will be that if you call xbox they will tell you that do not move the console while a cd is in the tray. Now depending, and I state depending what game it is. You may be able to apply for the replacement program if it is a game from Microsoft.

I know of two things that really help me with scratched discs and it is lotion and toothpaste. All you have to do is rub it on the disc gently and let it set for a minute and then wipe it off. It fills in the scratches so the disc works as if it was new.

Well, there are plenty of methods in cleaning discs. But what you are describing seems to be UN-fixable. I know, you do not want to hear that. But sadly, it's the truth. You see, most "disc cleaners" clean off scratches by filing away the surface and dulling all the scratches. But if your disc has deep scratches, which I am assuming it does, this would not work because it would have to file down very deep, thus ruining the disc completely. Sorry to inform you, but it really does sound like you need to buy a new disc.

How to clean a xbox 360 game disc?

I have repaired a variety of plastic items over the years, using many different products designed for, and not specifically designed for, removing scratches. This would include things like low abrasive toothpaste to professional repair products for specific applications. I do not know who keeps promoting toothpaste, ( I've read that remedy before - And banana skins etc. ) but toothpaste is highly abrasive and will damage discs. You need a series of abrasives, from course to light, to wear down scratches - step by step - to a smooth finish. Professional systems use multiple abrasives, consisting of different hardness and shapes (sharp to smooth). Regardless of product used, the key is to use a series of abrasives (more than one stage) to gradually bring the plastic back to a polished surface. You might also try using a polish on top of that, to give it a final shine. If you want to remove all scratches on your disc I recommend the 5-stage Scratch Pro repair system. It will bring the disc back to its original shine and you will have a kit on hand to fix the next disc. You can also do a search for scratch repair to see what is out there. Now as far as why the disc is unreadable - This is why. From Merlin's Table's website: "CENTRE RING DAMAGE. . The ring around the centre of the disc contains the data that tells the console player or CD player what the disc is all about. When this ring is scratched or scuffed or hazy, the disc will not register in the console. The ring is on the non-labelled (data/playing) side of the disc, around the centre hole. Look closely and you will see a small shiny band in this highly reflective area. This area and any other scratches on this side of the disc can be fixed using your repair kit." Good luck.
