1. Why doesn't Mcdonald's like to give away free food?
because they dont want you to scam them and give a clear note that you cant scam them. also, i laugh at you for eating garbage like mcdonalds, and even having the thought of eating it two days in a row
2. How bad is the food at a soup kitchen? (like the ones that give away free food)?
Soup Kitchen's receive their food from grocery stores whose food has almost reached their expiration date. They donate it, and the soup kitchen prepares it so it wo not be thrown out. They never know exactly what they are getting, but are happy to receive it. My youth group from my church volunteered at one, and it felt good to help those who needed it.
3. What are some gluten free food ?
All fruits and vegetables are gluten free. Gluten is found in certain grain products, like flour, cereal, etc. Read the labels on condiments because a flour based item could have been used as a thickening agent.
4. Do management consulting firms like BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Strategy& and LEK provide free food like tech companies?
They pay you so much that you hardly get time to eat. I doubt they offer free food like tech. companies do.
5. Why do some people eat gluten free food?
gluten intolerance!
6. free food if you have a job as hostess??? ?
It depends on the restaurant. A lot of chain restaurants just give you a small discount on food. Privately owned places are a bit different. At my place, at the end of the night the cooks make staff meal for everyone who feels like eating. It's usually just some chicken or pasta or something, but it's good if you've been working through the entire time you would usually be eating dinner
7. What are the best ways to get free food if you're homeless?
Dumpster diving is usually a good source, behind restaurants ans food markets, soup kitchens and Churches are another. Begging or pan-handling is stooping too low!
8. Should supermarkets be required to give away free food to the less fortunate?
I am not sure if the point is that you are making fun of labor unions, or of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and their ilk....whatever, you make a very good point
9. What are some great churches in the Cleveland area?
Tell us more about you. Are you looking for a protestant church that is liberal or conservative. How old are you and where in cleveland area are you? It will help us narrow the options some. In the meantime I will offer the place I found very welcoming when I was looking for a church home, and a place I still enjoy going back to when I am in the area I love worshiping at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Tremont, downtown. They are very community and justice oriented, and welcome everyone. The UCC motto is "no matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey -- you are welcome here." The church itself is gorgeous - built in the late 1800s with lots of stained glass, including a circular rotunda of glass. (check the pictures of the bldg on their website below!) The building is classic and old fashioned, their ideas are NOT! They welcome young, old, gay, straight, families, singles, rich, poor, people with disabilities, and just everyone. In the late 80s they were a dying urban church with about 60 older members who couldnt support the huge structure. They called a young woman pastor who nurturedf the members while growing the church to nearly 400 members!! They are now a vibrant congregation where EVERYONE participates in the outreach of the church. They remodled the beautiful sanctuary and trimmed the arches with hand painted wallpaper borders -- every Tuesday night for a year, members met and painted a professionally designed pattern, so today everyone can claim a part in making the sanctuary beautiful. The outreach to the needy in the commuinity is sincere. They have a food pantry, a special needs fund, a committment to a 10% tithing mission, and host a homeless "standdown" where tents go up for one or two weekends a year, and services for the city's homeless are available - free haircuts, foot care specialists, health screenings, free food, showers clean clothing closet, new socks & underwear, and mental health counselors. I love it because after a divorce, I no longer fit the Mom, Dad and two kids mold that was so popular at my church. The programs did not suit my needs. I felt immediately welcome the minute i walked in the doors of Pilgrim. I visited many times and every time, someone would notice me and welcome me. -- a very rare happening in many churches! They offer tons of programs, from movie groups & discussions, health screenings and yoga, women's and men's bible groups and spirituality book groups, and youth mission trips. If you are more conservative, this may not be your piece of birthday cake, but if you want a lively, faithful, Christ following, mission supporting church. Drop in one Sunday! Grace & Peace !
