What Should Be Paid Attention to When Using and Installing the Frequency Converter

1. During model selection, it shall be noted that the voltage level is consistent with the control motor. 2. The rated current of the motor shall not exceed the rated output current of the selected frequency converter, which is generally 1.1-1.5 times the motor current. 3. Select the type of frequency converter according to the load characteristics. Generally, there are general type, fan pump type, and special type. The universal type is used for constant torque load. When the load is heavy or there is overload during operation, it is considered to enlarge one grade.

The fan water pump type belongs to variable torque load, and the load is light at low speed. It is generally selected according to the requirements of actual process parameters. For example, material pumps and feed pumps in the production workshop. The special type is selected according to the load characteristics and mechanical characteristics of each automation equipment. For example, ABB frequency converter is used for the wire cutter in our factory, and Siemens S120 slope separator is used for the separator.

2. Due to the high integration, compact structure and large heat dissipation of the current frequency converter. Therefore, the requirements for installation ambient temperature, humidity and dust content are high. A good operating environment must be provided. The rest is parameter setting. Due to many parameters of frequency converter, the names of various manufacturers are different. Therefore, when setting parameters, be sure to read the manual of this type of frequency converter and set it according to the manual. It cannot be set by experience.

3. Operation and maintenance. During each maintenance period, the frequency converter needs to be soot blown and cleaned to keep the normal heat dissipation during the operation of the frequency converter. After each inspection and maintenance of the frequency converter, carefully check the cable plug and whether there are missing small screws and other items.
