Why would you get a lawyer if the claims process has not happened yet? Insurance is meant to indemnify you, to bring you back to the state that you were in prior to the accident, not any more or less. When you want to hire an attorney prior to the claims process even occurring then it seems to me like you want to be better off than you were prior to the accident. If you go through the process and the other insurance does not want to pay a reasonable amount for your damages (including pain and suffering) THEN you would hire an attorney.

The gears will cost you about 100-200dollars,if you replace them You will need to buy the whole set,MissMatches cause more problems,If you have the time and patients and machanical exsperience you can change the rear end BUT you need special tools to do rear ends,without them your in for some big head aches? As long as the spline count is the same ( I want to say the 8.8 in the Ranger used 31 spine axles) it should work. Your truck is going to be noticeably more gutless though. Your around town fuel economy will probably go down a bit as you will have to use more throttle to get it moving. Highway mileage should improve though. If it were me 3.55's would be the tallest rear end gears I would consider with the 3.0L. I would also question the need for an LSD with *less* aggressive gearing. " it's just others have been telling me I have to have "700 horse power" to run them. " LOL no. The 1999-2004 Mustangs came with the stock and they certainly did not have 700 HP. But in order to maintain the same level of performance you have with the 4.10 gears, you would need you engine to produce more power to compensate
