3. How often do computer printers fail complete a print job?
Answering printer questions on here, I see all kinds of printer issues that people have. Most often they are related to inkjet printers as they have a lot of failure rates due to ink drying up & clogging the printheads, running out of ink, as well as other strange errors that can plague inkjet printers (cover open, carriage jammed, ink cartridge(s) not recognized properly, computer sees the printer as off-line, but the printer looks OK, etc...just to list a few), which is the most commonly owned printer, especially by college students. Then there's the ones where they upgrade their operating system software and do not know how to upgrade the printer drivers, or they get a new computer and do not know how to hook it up, and then there's the issues where feed rollers are worn out or dirty and paper does not feed properly, or they get a virus or malware on their computer and it corrupts files and causes printing issues. All of this seems to occur at the worst time for people when they ask for help and they need their reports out right away to meet a deadline and they are scrambling to find help and answers as to what to do to fix their problem or places where they can go to get it printed instead. I am sure there are a few students that claim that because they were not getting the work done in time, but 10% does not seem too far out of line with what problems I see on here all the time, usually because they are getting it done at the last minute and do not have time to find alternatives. Now if the same students keep claiming the same problem over and over, those are the ones I would be suspicious of, but if it's always different ones, then they may be telling the truth. Printers do fail quite often for a very wide variety of issues, that's why I have a job in repairing them, and it keeps me pretty busy. This is can be attributed to the fact that you have a mechanical device, mixed with electronics and ink, all of which is very susceptible to problems. Most personal home printers today are made very cheaply and can be purchased for less than $100 dollars, so there's not a lot great reliability in them like there was 10 years ago. Often times they are not repairable due to that as it's often cheaper to buy a new printer than to repair the old one and parts are not really available for those inexpensive printers. Just take a look at the questions listed in the printers section here and you will see what I mean by the variety of problems people encounter and how many are needing answers to meet deadlines.
4. which is the best brand for printers?
HP I have a Lexmark and my ink number is hard to find//////////////
5. can you tell me about colonial america printers? i need to know everything!!!!?
There are inkjet printers which will not feed ink to the print heads and they needed cleaning which will allow the ink to follow. I do not know what type of printer you have and the only one I am familiar with is the Espon. Maybe you can check your manual or go see if a manual about your printer is on the desktop or in the program menu and try to read what procedure you have to follow for the software to clean your print heads. I hope this helps.
6. Why can't all printers have the same size ink cartridge(s)?
I guess it involves the companies' efforts to be innovative. Each company has its own specs (specifications). I like Canon's the best, because they are always simple, easy, and no-mess. I do not know. Does that make sense?
