The Dongtai Lu antique market remains an important place for haggling in Shanghai. In this open-air market located in Dongtai Road and along Liuhekou Road in the Luwan district there are antiques to be found, but tourists and locals also go there for the pleasure of bargain-hunting in this Chinese-style flea market. Among the 125 stalls, the furniture, the second-hand objects, the long rows of terracotta warriors, the Guanyin figures, the various trinkets, the military helmets and clothing, old folk play cards or mahjong, still show that this landmark retains its authenticity. 3. What would it take for Warmists to finally admit they were wrong and man-made Global Warming was NOT happening?
Evidence. Lots and lots of evidence. Evidence that it was not warming--30 years of steady or declining temperatures, glaciers (on average) adding rather than losing mass, animals and plants shifting their ranges towards rather than away from the equator, and so on. Or, evidence that the warming that is occuring was not (this go-round) due to human-emitted greenhouse gasses. So, either an explanation of where human-emitted CO2 was going, and what natural source was replacing it (that would not have emitted the same amount or less if there was not anthropogenic CO2), or an explanation of how the CO2 increase due to human action was *not* causing warming, and what mechanism was causing warming instead. If it was the sun, then the stratosphere would be warming instead of cooling, and the actual solar output would be on the rise rather than declining. edit: that was an either/or answer. I told you what would convince me that it's not warming, and what would convince me that it's not human-caused. And what part of *long-term trend* do you not understand? While warming has leveled off somewhat over the past decade, there are short term causes--lower solar radiation, El Nino/La Nina cycles, sulfur dioxide emissions from China, et cetera--explaining it. If temps stay level for 30 years, *then* you can start telling me that it's not warming any more.
