1962 Ole Miss Rebels football team
The 1962 Ole Miss Rebels football team represented the University of Mississippi during the 1962 NCAA University Division football season. The Rebels' finished the season undefeated, as Southeastern Conference (SEC) champions and with a victory over Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. Ole Miss was awarded the national championship by the Billingsley Report, Litkenhous and, later, Sagarin Ratings. The NCAA does not recognize the Billingsley Report, Litkenhous or Sagarin Ratings to be major selectors and therefore does not recognize this as a national championship. To date, it is the only undefeated and untied season in Ole Miss' football history. The Rebels' undefeated season was set against the backdrop of the civil rights movement taking place on their own campus as James Meredith, aided by the United States government, was attempting to be the first black student to enroll at the university. In 2012, ESPN aired a documentary on the team, Ghosts of Ole Miss, as part of its 30 for 30 series.

2019 UNLV Rebels football team
The 2019 UNLV Rebels football team represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Rebels were led by fifth year head coach Tony Sanchez and played their home games at Sam Boyd Stadium. They were members of the West Division of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 4-8, 2-6 in Mountain West play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place in the West division. On November 25, UNLV and Sanchez agreed that he would leave as head coach after the team's final game of the season. This was the final season UNLV played at Sam Boyd Stadium, with their November 23 match against San Jose State being the final game at the site. The Rebels will move into the newly constructed Allegiant Stadium in 2020 where they will share the venue with the National Football League's Las Vegas Raiders.
