Can You Save More Fuel by Having Large Wheels?
Can you save more fuel by having large wheels? No. Generally, oversize wheels reduce fuel economy because of increased rolling resistance— — — — — —Does more passengers in a car or the heavier the weight of a car requires more fuel to drive the car?more weight means more fuel consumption because of the increased load to the engine— — — — — —When is Cuddling Cheating?I've always had a fairly open-minded view of being friends with exes.So when my boyfriend of four years invited his ex-girlfriend over for wine after her recent break-up, I did not see an issue with it.It was a work night. After a couple of glasses, I looked at the time and realized it was past 11 p. m. and I should probably get to bed. To give her a hint that it was time to leave, I put on my pajamas and went into the living room to say goodnight. My subtleties did not work, because from the master bedroom, I could still hear the murmur of chatter in the living room. I lay in bed agitated, tossing and turning for what felt like hours, but I must have finally dozed off to sleep. In my sleep, I felt around in the dark for another body, but the bed was empty. I woke up in a panic. At 3 a.m. I decided to get up and see where my boyfriend was. Sometimes, he would fall asleep in the guest bedroom. And sure enough, the door was wide open, and lying on the bed, there he was.And there she was.He was spooning her; she had tissues in her hand, they were both fully clothed above the covers. I burst into tears and told her she was not allowed in our home ever again. She got up and left. I was shattered; I could not believe how he could do this to me. I lay in bed crying until morning. I went to work puffy-eyed, sad, angry, confused — unsure of what to feel.I yelled at her, but really I felt betrayed by him. But what was I really angry about? That he was comforting someone? He did not even react when I saw them, and later used that as a reason why he did not think he was doing anything inappropriate. That he was touching another woman? We hug all the time in everyday life, how was this different? Was it different because they were lying down? That he was choosing to be in bed with another woman when his girlfriend was in the other room? In an attempt to comfort a friend, he put her above me in the relationship. It was not entirely black and white, but the pain was real. Fast forward to 3 years later —I am out drinking with coworkers. I start making jokes about cuddle puddles. I had never partaken in one, but I found the concept amusing. The phrase apparently had not caught on in New York because the group consensus was I was making it up.After one too many drinks, I decided it was time to go home. It was nearly 2 a.m. and I had work the next day. Standing on the corner in the rain was one of my coworkers I would never spoken to one-on-one. He looked over at me and said three seemingly innocuous words: Want to cuddle?I laughed. He did not . He was dead serious. Are not you married, I asked? It's just cuddling, he responded. At that moment, my Uber pulls up. I jump in. He asks if he can join. I was fresh out of a 6.5 year relationship and the thought of just cuddling sounded nice. And for some reason, I believed him. I nodded and scooted over. Once in my bed, he spoons me, with his arm wrapped tightly around me. He kisses my neck. I say no. He apologizes and moves his hand into mine. It continues like this for hours. He turns over, and I spoon him. I flip back over, and eventually, we fall asleep wrapped in each other's arms. The next morning, as he's leaving he holds me close and we lock eyes. The sexual tension is boiling. Then we hear a beep on his phone; his Uber has arrived.Afterward, I feel guilty and try to rationalize it — that he is in an open relationship and that somehow their relationship would improve…It was not entirely black and white. When you are the involved one, you reach for the best-case scenario, the one that presumes your innocence. When you are the observer, you assume the worst, the one that presumes their guilt. But what is the truth? Was it cheating? As a reader, you probably have a visceral reaction to whether or not it was. And I guarantee you, someone reading this thinks the opposite.Cheating, by definition, is about as hard to define as love — it differs widely between who you ask. It requires two individuals to have the conversation for themselves, who up until now, have likely only relied on some vague definition. To date, every relationship I've had, we've only explicitly agreed that kissing and sexual acts are cheating. It never really was. We've just done a really nice job burying the conversation until we can not ignore it. Why? Because it's complicated. The cause of cheating and the feelings of betrayal are usually a symptom of something connected to a relationship dynamic, entangled like the root system underneath the forest floor. But we need to work to untangle it. To understand why someone would look outside the relationship to have a need or desire filled. While there is not perfect data on current infidelity rates, the American Associate for Marriage and Family therapy reports that 15% of women and 25% of men have had intercourse outside of their long-term relationship. When we broaden the definition to include the grey area — acts outside of explicit sex — I assume it's significantly higher.A phrase like "once a cheater always a cheater" is a cliche and does not hold weight in the world we live in today. It's too simplistic, a too obvious escape from reality. By cheating remaining taboo, it gives it more fuel. A self-perpetuating cycle, where the silence lends itself to irreversible damage. Researcher Brene Brown captures the impact so well. "Shame needs three things to grow exponentially in our lives: secrecy, silence, and judgment." — Dr. Brene BrownThe alternative to shame is talking about our feelings around it, confronting our past and future desires, and reaching some mutual understanding. As the party "being cheated on" — I wish I had more conversations like this before the cuddle incident and the later incidents of betrayal that eventually tore us apart. It's not about self-blame, it's about facing the reality of the relationship. As the "involved party" — I do not believe you need to carry the weight of whether or not it was cheating. You can decide whether or not it aligns with your moral judgment, but your involvement in the act of cheating is not for you to decide. Eliminating the stigma does not have to make cheating acceptable. It just means we need to start having the dialogue. So call it cheating, call it boundaries, call it expectations — regardless of what you want to call it, have the conversation on how you feel about these things. You may discover you have differing views on it but by experimenting with these concepts in a safe environment, we can avoid the painful consequences of spur of the moment experiments out in the wild. Because without that level of vulnerability, timing may just decide for you

Boeing's new 787 is 20% more fuel efficient than before...?Boeing is a republican ran companies we liberals do not like Boeing so Shhhhh delete this question now!!— — — — — —What are the basic points to remember during a debate competition? There are many, many points to remember. What are the basic ones? Assuming you remember that you are there to convince the judge and disagree with the other team(s), the most basic things to remember are:1. Roadmap your arguments at the beginning of your speech (u201cI have three arguments, 1. The economy, 2. The constitution, u2026etc.); signpost your arguments as you come to them (u201cand now my second argument, the constitution prohibits thisu201d) and summarize your arguments at the end of your speech. In every speech but the first, your speech is not free-standing. If you could have read your speech from notes you prepared before the competition or without seeing the rest of the round, you are not really debating. Tell the judge why the person who spoke before you on the other side is wrong, both for what he/she did say, and for what he/she didnu2019t say.n n3. Make arguments. (u201cWe are going to tax SUVs [Why?] because they are bad for environment [Why are they bad for the environment?] because they burn more fuel than cars. [Why do they burn more fuel?] They burn more fuel because they are much bigger and less aerodynamic than cars, and have less efficient engines because they are exempt from car fuel efficiency requirement because they are classified as light trucks. [Why is that bad for the environment?] Burning more gas means they generate more CO2, which is the most important greenhouse gas. )n n4. Have fun. Run 2 weeks befre changing plugs and setting timing too as they wll foul and no need to waste money on new or foul new carb.— — — — — —96 Nissan Maxima sputters and cuts off while driving? It would be helpful if we could send you emails to ask questions. Stalls like this are often ignition-related and happen when the engine loses spark. The underlying cause is often a bad crankshaft position sensor, or sometimes a failing ignition coil (if the engine has only one coil). When this happens, open the hood and check for spark. This can be done by pulling off a plug wire (if the engine has plug wires), and placing the end near the block while a helper cranks the engine. DO NOT hold the wire as it may shock you if the ignition system is working. If you do not see a spark or hear the plug wire snapping when the engine is cranking, the fault is in the ignition system. Another possibility is a bad PCM (engine computer) relay. The power supply to the PCM is often routed through one or two main power relays. The PCM shuts down and turns off the ignition and fuel injectors, causing the engine to stall. One way to see if this is a possibility is to switch or replace the PCM power relay(s). If the problem goes away, the cause was a bad relay. If it continues, the fault is something else (possible a wiring fault in the PCM relay or PCM power circuit). Yet another possibility is low system voltage, loss of voltage, or overcharging. The PCM and other control modules require a steady 12 volts to operate correctly. If the supply voltage suddenly drops below 9 volts, or surges about 16 volts, or cuts out, the PCM may temporarily kill the injectors or ignition circuit. The underlying cause may be an intermittent short somewhere in the electrical system or charging system that causes a momentary drop or surge in voltage. These can be very difficult to find, and often require hooking up a scan tool that can capture snapshot data when the stall occurs. By looking at the data, a technician can see the chain of events that caused the stall, and hopefully identify, isolate and repair the fault. Hesitation is when your engine misfires, stumbles or lacks power when you accelerate or step on the throttle. The problem often means the air/fuel mixture is not being properly enriched or is going lean, or the ignition system is weak and is misfiring when the engine comes under load or the air/fuel mixture goes lean. The computer should respond by adding more fuel. If the engine has a speed-density type of fuel injection system (no airflow sensor), the computer uses inputs from the throttle position sensor, manifold absolute pressure sensor, air temperature sensor and engine rpm to estimate airflow and how much fuel the engine needs. NOTE: Speed-density systems are much less sensitive to vacuum leaks than EFI systems that use an airflow sensor. If the engine has an airflow sensor (vane airflow or mass airflow), it looks primarily at the airflow signal from the airflow sensor, but also takes into account what the throttle position sensor and MAP sensor (if equipped) are telling it. NOTE: Airflow EFI systems are very sensitive to vacuum leaks, and air leaks downstream of the airflow sensor. Consequently, if the inputs from any of these sensors is inaccurate or missing, the engine computer may not add enough fuel, allowing the fuel mixture to go lean causing a misfire that produces a hesitation or stumble when accelerating or opening the throttle. The amount of fuel added by the computer when the throttle opens may also be insufficient if the fuel injectors are dirty or fuel pressure is low. The oxygen sensors in the exhaust monitor the air/fuel mixture so the computer can adjust fuel trim as needed to maintain the proper air/fuel ratio. Fuel trim adjustments can compensate for dirty injectors and/or low fuel pressure to a certain extent, but occur too slowly to offset a throttle hesitation problem. Possible Causes of Engine Hesitation or Stumble: Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this). Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump) Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Does Removing a Catalytic Converter Make an Engine Consume More Fuel?
Does Removing a Catalytic Converter Make an Engine Consume More Fuel?
Does removing a catalytic converter make an engine consume more fuel?Well if the exhaust flow in the exhaust in side and reduced the back pressure the engine breath Better though that could illegal in some countries— — — — — —How should one drive a car to get the caru2019s best millage in a city?Keep these simple points in mind for better fuel efficiency:It's not always wise to turn off the engine as the engine needs more fuel to start than keeping it idling for around a min. So if any stop is for more than 1 min, kill the engine.Never accelerate too much or speed up because you will have to brake soon enough, so keep the car at low RPMs and shift to upper gear as soon as possible without having to put load on the engine. This also comes down to what car you choose, its always wise to have high torque cars in traffic with gears tuned for longer range. When you know your way like when a bumper will come or where the pothole is, slow your car down already instead of having to brake suddenly.Do not carry unnecessary stuff in your car, that you are not going to need. This one is quite common, keep your tire pressure appropriate. A little more can give you better efficiency but can even cause bursts.Always refuel when the tank is half or little less than half. And refuel early in the morning or late in the evening.Go for wheel alignment and balancing every 5000 kms.Keep your car maintained with regular service, oiling etc. Put the car to neutral when stopped and release the clutch completely, in fact use clutch as less as possible. Also, do not shift gears frequently, driving on second gear for a minute consumes lesser fuel than shifting to third and coming back to second in 30 seconds.A lot of people have old scooter habits and they press clutch as soon as they press brakes. In cars or bikes, even in 5th gear you don't need to do so till the car becomes quite slow like less than 30 kmph or unless you want to shift to lower gear. So, you don't need to press clutch for slight brakes that you apply just to slow down.Avoid any unnecessary modifications to your car like wider tires, bumper beam etc. When the climate is good and you will not be driving above 60, turn off the AC and open your windows. If you are driving above 60, roll up the windows and turn on the AC. Wind resistance at higher speeds may lower your cars efficiency, so instead of saving you will spend more if you keep your AC off. Drive as straight as possible instead of using your steering too much. It's really difficult to keep all this in mind, but eventually this becomes your habit if you keep practicing. If you follow all this together, perhaps you can increase your cars fuel economy by 1-2 kmpl if not more. Hope you find this useful. Jour 16 & 17 (29 Et 30 Aot 2019) Larrive Andong Ou La Parenthse Enchante Qui Se Ferme.
