How Can I Upgrade Windows Xp to Windows Xp Service Pack 2?
how can i upgrade windows xp to windows xp service pack 2?You can download the Windows Service Packs from the Microsoft Update site. Or you can order the update cd from Microsoft. If you wish to download it, click Start/All Programs/Windows Update. I would advise getting Service Pack 3 (SP3) because it contains all of the service packs.— — — — — —No sound after reinstalling windows XP?!?I lost my sound and bought a sound card— — — — — —Windows XP-- Screenshot not working...help!!!?I presume you are using the Print Screen key. I've never heard of that happening so it could be a mapping issue. It is just screen shots or when you are trying to paste text also? The following are the primary considerations for "choosing the right version": CPU architecture: Windows CE supports an extensive array of architectures, including x86, whereas Windows XP Embedded only supports the x86 architecture. Real-time applications: Windows CE is a real-time operating system, while Windows XP Embedded is not by default. Existing Win32 applications: Windows CE cannot use Win32 binaries, libraries, and drivers without modification. Memory footprint: The minimum footprint of Windows CE is 350 kilobytes. The minimum footprint of Windows XP Embedded is 8 megabytes, making it over 23 times larger. There is also a difference in cost.— — — — — —Need a licensed version of Windows XP?First of all.. do not get Vista unless you know you have more than adequate hardware requirements. Go with any other version of XP and not hard to find. You can either buy it directly from Microsoft or go to your nearest Tiger Direct outlet. Usualy they will start at around $130. In the meantime, disable automatic updates— — — — — —Windows XP autostart process as administratorEasy. Like msindle suggested, you will want to put the shortcut in the startup folder, but if it needs to run as an admin, you will have to a) provide the admin credentials the first time it runs, and b) use some command line switches. For example, the below is how I run ADUC as a domain admin, while logging on to my machine as a limited user. ("Target" field of the shortcut.)First bit calls runas.exe, which is what lets you run a program as a different user in XP, /user specifies the user (if you want a local account, user the machine name instead of the domain name), /savcred allows the credentials to be saved (after entering them once), and the last bit is what program's being called - Microsoft Management console with the dsa (ADUC) snap-in. You can get a decent one for about $40. I would recommend D-Link or Linksys, but there are quite a few different brands available. Having a router will also add a layer of security as you will be behind a firewall which can make it more difficult for someone to hack into you system.

Joel Matip Expects Liverpool and Manchester City to Drop Points in Premier League Title Race
Joel Matip expects Premier League title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City to both drop points before the end of the season.Liverpool currently lead City by two points at the top of the table, having played a game more than the defending champions, after beating Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday.Sadio Mane believes Liverpool will need to win all six of their remaining games to lift the Premier League trophy but Matip admits a perfect finish to the campaign is a tough ask."I think it will be hard for both teams to play these kind of games without dropping points," Matip told Sky Sports News."But we are only looking to our next opponent. That is the most important thing." Manchester City host Cardiff on Wednesday night before Liverpool travel to face Southampton on Friday, both games live on Sky Sports. When asked if the Liverpool squad will meet up to watch City's match together, Matip said: "No, I think not."We can only concentrate on the things that we can decide. We cannot change how they will play, we focus on our way and our games." Matip has cemented his place in Liverpool's starting XI in recent months with a series of solid displays alongside record signing Virgil van Dijk. The Reds have conceded just 19 goals in their 32 league games this season and Matip insists the whole team is responsible for the improved defensive record."We have all made it quite good," he said."Virgil has had a big impact on the whole defence but it starts at the front, we put pressure on the opponent. It makes life easier for us."The whole team is defending much better." Reds boss Jurgen Klopp revealed that Van Dijk needed to use an ice pack after picking up a knock in the win over Tottenham but Matip expects his team-mate to be fit to face Southampton this weekend."I think he is not too bad," said Matip."After a game a few players always have some small injuries but I've heard nothing else, so I think he will be fit."
Clonezilla Backup Software Freezes on Boot
Clonezilla Backup Software Freezes on Boot
Sounds like a bad Image unable to load the kernel or the kernel not being compatible with the CPU architecture on the system1. Making an iso backup of my systemI would recommend to use a disk imaging tool like Clonezilla, which can backup the complete contents of your disk into an image, which can be stored on a USB drive, another disk, a network share, or even a writeable DVD.To use it, Download the current stable version, write the ISO to a DVD or USB stick, and boot it, and follow the instructions to create an image of the entire local disk (There's plenty of tutorials, too). You will then have a compressed image, which you can later restore onto the system, using the same clonezilla DVD or bootable USB. (You can even put Clonezilla and the image on the same USB stick for subsequent restores). If you want to make an actual installable ISO of your system, there are various tools for this, such as SystemBack, however, I have not tried any of these myself2. what is the advantage of Image based backup versus file based backupImagebased backups will allow you to create an exact image of what your harddisk was at the time of the backup. If you restore the image, not only do you get your files back, but if that partition also has your windows installation, your windows installation will become that of when the backup was made. Why is this important? If your windows does not start anymore, you can go back to that specific point easily. Filebased backups do not have this luxury. Only the files are backupped. However, the biggest difference between file backups and imagebased backups is when you backup often. An image based backup is usually a full backup, and thus it always takes very long to make. A filebased backup can skip backing up all files that are already in the backup and only backup the changes (differential/incremental backups). So depending on your needs, you need either an image based backup, a filebased backup, of both.If you need to be able to restore windows to an earlier point, you will need an image based backup. If you need quick backups, you will need a filebased backup. That said, there are backup solutions that can do both in the same program. They create images, but can make incremental backups too, and they often also can extract the files from the image. In most situations, filebackups are always used, and the imagebased backup is supplementary. You would typically use an imagebased backup in case you are going to make drastic changes to your windows install and do not want to risk failure (you can always go back to before you started). A filebased backup would typically be used to ensure your most important files will always exist. These can be your office documents, but some have their photo's only in digital form nowadays and then of course they are very precious.3. Create a Virtual Machine as a backupYes you can create a virtual hard diska for a backup. There are several tools out there that can do this. One example from Microsoft is Disk2VHD. Many VM platforms support Microsoft's VHD format, which is convenient. The problem with this type of solution is you need another PC to run the virtual machine, if your current machine is no longer working. If you dont have another PC, then you have to return your affected PC to a workable state. And once your virtual machine is up and running, you still have to return the affected machine to its previous state. These time consuming extra steps are the reason why the following is a better choice.A better solution would be creating images of your machine. Programs like Macrium Reflect Free allow you to make complete images of your machine, as well as create bootable media to restore that image directly to the affected PC. No secondary PC is required, or the need to fix your affected PC4. Google Docs: How to backup periodically? This was covered on Lifehacker:Back up your Google Apps data5. how to do file backup?A flashdrive is great for backup but it's only so big and pictures take lots of room. You should get an ide to usb adapter and another hd. It does not have to be too big say 20-30 gig and with the adapter, you can backup every picture you have on that hd. You can get them both for about $50.00 and use it for all your backup.
