What are the basic points to remember during a debate competition?

There are many, many points to remember. What are the basic ones? Assuming you remember that you are there to convince the judge and disagree with the other team(s), the most basic things to remember are:1. Roadmap your arguments at the beginning of your speech (u201cI have three arguments, 1. The economy, 2. The constitution, u2026etc.); signpost your arguments as you come to them (u201cand now my second argument, the constitution prohibits thisu201d) and summarize your arguments at the end of your speech. Unlike an essay, the audience/judge canu2019t go back over what youu2019ve said.n n2. Listen to the other team and engage with what they say. In every speech but the first, your speech is not free-standing. If you could have read your speech from notes you prepared before the competition or without seeing the rest of the round, you are not really debating. Tell the judge why the person who spoke before you on the other side is wrong, both for what he/she did say, and for what he/she didnu2019t say.n n3. Make arguments. Do this by repeatedly answering the question u201cwhyu201d as if it were asked by an irritating child. (u201cWe are going to tax SUVs [Why?] because they are bad for environment [Why are they bad for the environment?] because they burn more fuel than cars. [Why do they burn more fuel?] They burn more fuel because they are much bigger and less aerodynamic than cars, and have less efficient engines because they are exempt from car fuel efficiency requirement because they are classified as light trucks. [Why is that bad for the environment?] Burning more gas means they generate more CO2, which is the most important greenhouse gas. )n n4. Have fun. The whole thing is meant to be fun.

do motorcycle more fuel efficient than usual car?

Mpg or Kpl ratings of the newest motorcycles on the market are far superior that of cars. What you must truly study is the danger involved to ride one and the resulting medical cost's involved, in the event of a catastrophy. You must also weigh your importance( as a family man) against the further needs of your wife and children, in the event of your death or serious incapacitation. Every week here in my state, a man is reported dead of his motorcycling mis-hap, upon the roadways. Older men-(40-70 yrs.) are dying even faster

Making a small-block Chevy 350 more fuel efficient?

I have a 1982 z-28 that had a Saleen crate motor 10,000 niles go with 425hpand 510 lb;s of torque for strip. I decided to make for street. Besides windows ect I changed cam, instead of 2 holly 650 Dbl. Pumpers i put 1 edlebrock 650 cfm, stock exhaust (had 3" straight from headers,) and put edlebrock high rise manifold with Mallory ignition and Bosch platinum plugs in. also took out hurst slapstick for stock shifter with new shift kit. Now is 345 Hp and 415 lb's of torque and gets 20MPG. Also put limited slip diff with 3:73 gears as opposed to 4:10 posi. perfomance plus better gas then most V6's with under 200 hp and 200 lb's of torque. Still does low 13's and top end est at 163 on dyno. 0-60 in under 5. Cam was a crane that I picked up used and was not as radical as When saleen did original build. Can hear but nothing like before. Remember to hook up all vacums right and not to hook up choke. Change all gaskets and use all synthetic fluids. Run 2 weeks befre changing plugs and setting timing too as they wll foul and no need to waste money on new or foul new carb.

96 Nissan Maxima sputters and cuts off while driving?

It would be helpful if we could send you emails to ask questions. Stalls like this are often ignition-related and happen when the engine loses spark. The underlying cause is often a bad crankshaft position sensor, or sometimes a failing ignition coil (if the engine has only one coil). When this happens, open the hood and check for spark. This can be done by pulling off a plug wire (if the engine has plug wires), and placing the end near the block while a helper cranks the engine. DO NOT hold the wire as it may shock you if the ignition system is working. If you do not see a spark or hear the plug wire snapping when the engine is cranking, the fault is in the ignition system. Another possibility is a bad PCM (engine computer) relay. The power supply to the PCM is often routed through one or two main power relays. The PCM shuts down and turns off the ignition and fuel injectors, causing the engine to stall. One way to see if this is a possibility is to switch or replace the PCM power relay(s). If the problem goes away, the cause was a bad relay. If it continues, the fault is something else (possible a wiring fault in the PCM relay or PCM power circuit). Yet another possibility is low system voltage, loss of voltage, or overcharging. The PCM and other control modules require a steady 12 volts to operate correctly. If the supply voltage suddenly drops below 9 volts, or surges about 16 volts, or cuts out, the PCM may temporarily kill the injectors or ignition circuit. The underlying cause may be an intermittent short somewhere in the electrical system or charging system that causes a momentary drop or surge in voltage. These can be very difficult to find, and often require hooking up a scan tool that can capture snapshot data when the stall occurs. By looking at the data, a technician can see the chain of events that caused the stall, and hopefully identify, isolate and repair the fault. Hesitation is when your engine misfires, stumbles or lacks power when you accelerate or step on the throttle. The problem often means the air/fuel mixture is not being properly enriched or is going lean, or the ignition system is weak and is misfiring when the engine comes under load or the air/fuel mixture goes lean. The computer should respond by adding more fuel. If the engine has a speed-density type of fuel injection system (no airflow sensor), the computer uses inputs from the throttle position sensor, manifold absolute pressure sensor, air temperature sensor and engine rpm to estimate airflow and how much fuel the engine needs. NOTE: Speed-density systems are much less sensitive to vacuum leaks than EFI systems that use an airflow sensor. If the engine has an airflow sensor (vane airflow or mass airflow), it looks primarily at the airflow signal from the airflow sensor, but also takes into account what the throttle position sensor and MAP sensor (if equipped) are telling it. NOTE: Airflow EFI systems are very sensitive to vacuum leaks, and air leaks downstream of the airflow sensor. Consequently, if the inputs from any of these sensors is inaccurate or missing, the engine computer may not add enough fuel, allowing the fuel mixture to go lean causing a misfire that produces a hesitation or stumble when accelerating or opening the throttle. The amount of fuel added by the computer when the throttle opens may also be insufficient if the fuel injectors are dirty or fuel pressure is low. The oxygen sensors in the exhaust monitor the air/fuel mixture so the computer can adjust fuel trim as needed to maintain the proper air/fuel ratio. Fuel trim adjustments can compensate for dirty injectors and/or low fuel pressure to a certain extent, but occur too slowly to offset a throttle hesitation problem. Possible Causes of Engine Hesitation or Stumble: Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this). Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump) Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
